once you play medieval 2 you can't turn back to rome ...i tryed ...2 times ...but if you play Empires total war that you will surely come back to medieval 2 cause that game just sucks ....

I disagree. I played M2TW for a long time and always ended up re-installing Rome again.
As for Empire- I haven't played it but I got Napoleon TW yesterday and my god- it is euphoric! If Empire is anywhere close to it then it IS a good game. Make sure to download all patches (up to 1.6) to eliminate bugs in the game. CTD can put you off =)
