@femfilly Interesting. I know about recessive and atypical genes ( well slightly, I went to school to be a vet tech), but have never heard of black ridgebacks appearing before. Very pretty dog regardless.

@musicboy192 The black one is also a purebred ridgeback. He is a rescue animal. Inbreeding can sometimes make recessive atypical genes show.
