At the end of the day, whatever branch, everyone takes the SAME oath, to defend the SAME constitution, for the SAME country. Military rivalries like AF vs Navy games are one thing, disrespect to another service for their methods of operation is petty and premature.

@josephparker5424 AF SF are MP's we deal with life or death every day even during non-combat operations. My first duty station I was shot at even before the Iraq war started.

@187murder1 Yeah, the contractors are doing a lot now, but there's still plenty that needs to be done which they can't do. I.E High Level Security Clearance stuff and likewise.

@MugenjouX Thanks for being real! I like that I was try to get all of info from Air Force member about the job Security Forces b/c I any type of law enforcement from police to correction and ect. I wasn't sure that the Air Force does a lot of policing on base. It was hard to go into something when I ask Airmen and women how they like they job in security force. And all I hear and get is stay out you don't get the police work on base all you do is gate duty and the ciliven to the police work.

@187murder1 It really depends on what you want. Don't let people tell you otherwise. I scored high enough on the ASVAB to get whatever I want, but in the end I took SF because I liked the opportunities it gave. EST, Sniper, Dog Handler, and more. Sure, other branches have that too, but that's when Branch preference comes into play. So don't count something out because you hear bad things, every job has people who hate it.
