Note: Blades are brass not copper as I mistakenly mentioned in the video.

This fan had very tarnished blades and
looked like it was buried in muddy water for years. Did a quick restoration by cleaning and painting and shining the blades. Will rewire it eventually. The plug that is on it was put on as a replacement in the 1950's.
Single speed, oscillating. Pat. No. on blade was recorded 1934, but fan likely made in 40's.

  • Nice fan! Emerson made great fans, but I honestly think that this line was their best runners. I have an 77646AS and it looks similar to yours. Very very strong and quiet fan. I'm pretty sure it will last forever.

  • thanks! yeah i was surprised how smooth this one runs considering the shape it was in. i am pretty sure this is a golden jubilee model but the motor tags are totally unreadable so its hard to say for sure.

  • That fan is actually from the mid-1940's. The patent is for the design of the blade, which has been around since the 30's.

What is the model # on the motor tag?

  • Yeah, and what is weird is the blade has a GE patent. Do you know if Emerson used blades made by GE normally? The motor tag is non-readable due to the excessive corrosion. Thanks for your helpful info.

  • sweet emerson there built like tanks

  • Considering the rust and mud on this fan when I found it, I suspect it was buried somewhere for some time. Put a little oil on it and now it runs like a dream. Amazing machine.

  • Very quiet, but move plenty of air!

  • i have a little GE fan model n0 6250-d great shape iv been told its the 50th aniversary fan that the origional brass blades were painted gold if anyone knows the history of this fan please let me know thankyou

  • Thank-you! Yeah, its amazing how these old fans will fire right up or require just a little oil to get running perfect again. This one had a strange rattle while running but I put a little oil and a small amount of liquid wrench in the oil hole. Runs real quiet now. I have a 1934 GE as well as a couple post war fans I will post shortly. Thanks again for checking out my video.
