  • Her voice was so different. I love her music. <3

  • The first time I saw her perform this on tv was on a 'Rock goes to college' type thing. She was backed by a band called The Edge (members went on to play with 80s bands The Yachts, Culture Club, PIL, etc.) who worked with her on a lot of her very early stuff. Story goes that the record company took her demo (with The Edge) and replicated it with studio musicians. Anyway, I digress! Kirsty is up there with the very best that Britain has ever produced!

  • No but its actually Rockpile playing on this one

  • Kirsty co-wrote the song with Phil Rambow - who played guitar on a lot of her first album.

  • Aww Love Kirsty, have met and photographed her mum a few times in Croydon for a paper, shes lovely too, but obviously misses Kirsty greatly like the rest of us.

  • Her first hit was "they don't know" it didn't chart very high though.

  • boat whAT boat? ahhhh that one sadly missed!!

  • believe it's an original. Only ever heard her version, anyway. It was definately her first hit, so it's probably going to be hers.
