Influences for "Mr. Navy Blue":
This song actually has a background story. When my family and I were on vacation in California in the summer of 2011, we were touring around the city and visiting all the beaches and museums. Well one of the museums we went to was the Getty Centre. When we were there I kept running into this boy around my age at each exhibit. He was wearing a navy blue shirt, brown beaten up leather shoes and a distinctive smile. And just as I described in the song, we kept running into each other through out the museum and smiling at each other. It wasn't anything special, but as soon as we left the museum it sparked ideas in my head, and I jotted down the lyrics in my ipod notes on the way back to the hotel. People have asked me where I came up with the idea of "Mr Navy Blue," so this is it. Thank-you SO much for all the support :)

OH, and some people ask which artists inspire my writing and my overall singing the most, and I would definitely say Christina Perri, hands down! Her music is really inspiring, and I love her taste in chording, words and writing!
