I know there is alot of talk of how Hoffa never threw 70ft in high school. But this was a warm-up throw at 70ft and this was the title of the video when I got it so I'm leaving it at that.
@kragseven these days is to party and screw around. And some of the people who come out are forced to come out and compete because either their parents tell them to or a coach for another sport tells them to. Even my little brother didn't want to try cuz he's a lazy ass. i got him to try the discus a couple days ago and his first ten minutes he's throwing the 2k discus over 40 feet and throwing the 1k over 70 with literally no technique. hes got the build for disc and with some training, he'll
@kragseven not many people seem to want to throw anymore or like my high school i graduated from, Battle Ground High School near Vancouver, WA, the incoming kids just dont want to compete. my freshman year there were about at least 100 total athletes on our team. last year (senior year) there were less than 80. there were about 8 to 10 total throwers. Skyview High School in Salmon Creek has at least 20 throwers and they're all relatively big kids whereas BG's kids aren't that big. All kids want
I did 53'2 in high school. I wasn't even considered for the states. They were throwing over 60. 35 years later winning throws in NY are less then 55. WTF
Yeah I threw a 38 footer as a sophomore..... Just kidding I can't brag hahah my school sucks. I did through 38 feet but the kid ahead of me throughs 50 feet sooo.... yeah fuck me right lol?
Damn, when i was in high school anyone over 47' was beast and a 50-53' throw would win state.... that is Illinois though, now im coaching and i have a freshman learning the rotational, he's popped off a couple of 40' throws already, im pretty impressed by that.
@kragseven Hey I won indoors with 62'4. It was funny cause I'm a 5'10 glider. Second place was 54. NYS
