@indman101 i used to say that until i relised how few of my electronics where really ac. my netbook tablet and smartphone modem rougher are all dc devices. so it got a universal dc to dc charger that can change the needed volts and amps without inverting. eg my net-book is 12 vplts at 3 amps and my laptop is 19v at 6.3 amps.

dwightinutah is right . definately practice light control . i have presized cardboard cut outs for our windows in the closets w black duct tape to help seal it better . also use the tape on any exterior light switches or remove bulbs or replace w burnt out ones . dont forget katrina . people who actually beleive the government will be there to save them tend to get a little antsy when they realize theyre screwed .

A very nice system for small power requirements. I noticed that you placed the solar panel in a place that makes it inconspicuous. Looters who see solar panels and lights on in a house at night will target that home knowing that the residents have prepared. Keep as low a profile as you can, especialy at night.

Yes, it's an accupower. Works with 110/230 AC, also comes with 12v DC car adapter as well. I saw solar kits on the web bundled with this charger so decided to buy this one. Got this one off of amazon.
