Hi, I'm a 3rd year medical student in NYC. I really like the videos you've posted about med school and appreciate you sharing your advice. Currently I'm going though a really rough time regarding school. I am just having a difficult time with the material and just been feeling lost ever since my first year. So I'm just wondering, how do you deal with hard times in med school? Do you ever have moments when u question, "can I do this? can I really learn ALL this and become competent?"

Thank you so much! I'm not even in college yet, but your last bit about studying totally helped me! I loved the rest of your video as well seeing as I'm a med school hopeful :). But again thanks so much, and I hope you're successful in your future endeavors!

Doctors must learn not to cut. People must eat healthy to be and stay healthy forever. The root of all evil are carbs! Eat saturated animal fats, no carbs. You maybe become 150 years old. ;-)

...that typifies many college kids now days. I personally love to socialize and enjoy other activities other than studying; however, my principal goal in life is to learn as much as possible and I design various ways to increase my memory and understanding of scientific issues. In addition, I would so love to see my knowledge have a positive impact on humanity before I pass, and what other engine could fulfill this goal than medical school? So why reject smart people on illegitimate grounds?

Thank you for your informative videos. I think you are in a position to answer a question: I hear that med schools are known for rejecting smart students on the grounds that they are not "well-rounded" and studied too much rather than engage in social activities to complement their studying. Is this an urban legend spread by kids, or does it have some validity? I think this is strange considering that real science takes time and some people do not like drama....

"if you don't put yourself in that position, you may never know you want to be a neurosurgeon" (paraphrasing) - a really good point there. Your videos are fantastic. Keep up the good work.

I study well on the bus and other noisy places too because all the sounds just fade away. I really don't like quiet places either.
thanks for the tips on studying!!! I'm going to try to identify my pattern
