This is just a re-edited version of the scene from Star Trek TMP, where Kirk is re-united with the Enterprise. New music and footage, edited myself

  • Nice job, but the ships should have looked like TOS ships. Enterprise was the first of her kind in TMP. (And she was still NCC-1701, no bloody A, B, C or D.)

  • I meant to say, but my idean was that the other classes of starship (EG Miranda) where still in development in the time TMP was set. Since the U.S.S Reliant in ST:TWOK is a Miranda class i thought it made sense

  • where is the music from?

  • Got it online, its the overture for First Contact

  • Um, i included the other types of starship as an indication that they were still in development and not actually active in the fleet. For eample, the Miranda class is introduced in ST-II:WOK as the U.S.S Reliant.

  • @jtkirkfan2002 or E!

  • Jerry Goldsmith, you are missed!

  • Excellent Just Excellent.

  • @dvddmc

    It's the Saladin-class light cruiser.

  • That one ship with the single Nacell Looks Freaking Ugly and unbalanced

  • The Hachibi escaped from me. I chased it this far, but I think it might be slightly afraid of boarding the Enterprise.

If you find it, call 1-800-I-KILL-BIJUU, before Madara arrives.

  • I like it! It puts the capabilities of Starfleet into better prospective. There should be more than just one starship docked in Earth orbit. Makes that scene a lot less boring too.

  • @Sulaco516 and he also made The Next Generation's theme music by creating The Motion Picture theme

  • @starsiegeplayer But there was character development. It was the audience's introduction to the "character" of Enterprise, the audience that had not seen any new live-action Star Trek in ten years. People often forget that this movie was made before video tape recorders were even mainstream. It was made to see once or twice in the theater and then every few years on TV. For those of us who saw it for the first time in 1979, the scene was just right.

  • I love the other 23rd. century class starships here. It dose make since. All, either refitted, or new, but to look like those in the earlier parts of the 23rd. century, when "young" J.T. Kirk comanded the Enterprise. (2255 - 2265...approx.)
