AM HAPPY was all about the candle and secret rooms!

This is amazing. Times Of Lore is the C64's Zelda killer.

Wow what a memory! I used to play this game daily for weeks till I beat it. I remember the song that came on when I beat the game was really cool too...I remember I used to always kill the peasants for fun, then all the other peasants would start throwing rocks at the player.

@TheSacredTurf sometimes seems like only the loading music was something to enjoy

I tabbed this out for guitar once. If you let it play again, the guitar solo near the end will be different. It improvises sort of, it randomly picks a line to play, from a selection for each chord.

I had this game ...and still do...on an Apple II computer. I don't think it had this song on it though.

Something doesn't sound quite right here. Was this recorded on an emulator? I can't pinpoint it, but something sounds different. Could just be my memory :P

@slayliving Fully with you on that. Origin made some of the best games back then: the Ultimas, Windwalker, the Wing Commanders, Space Rouge, and the list goes on and on... Too bad they are not around anymore.
What a tune. I was a big fan of Martin Galway in the 80's and loved every piece he wrote. You have to remember that this was a time when even the loading music was something to enjoy. I was about 13 and teaching myself guitar. After trying to figure this out on a real guitar (it's in F#) I really began to truly appreciate him as a composer and not just someone who wrote tunes for "silly" computer games. I wrote him a fan letter and was astonished to get a letter back. I stil have it now.

No other SID tune has anything like the guitar solo at the end of this one.
