This video cut out the best part of the song...

as a die hard Sufjan fan listening to this for the first time its actually really lovely (in a weird creepy way) i think he's done it justice seeing as he has the tendency to change the songs he covers so much that they sound like a totally different song but you can still hear a strong similarity between the 2

@deathblooms200655 Like I said after the other person so cleverly pointed this out, what I meant was that you can't say one is better than the other. And I'll say to you, too, that I don't see why you would insist on picking at a comment that was made over 2 years ago.

@PhishyGutz Haha, you just compared them right after you said they weren't comparable.

@PhishyGutz Oh.. didn't notice that. I think was just in a bad mood anyway. Sorry.

So cool music, I found it during searchin' for some UV Ray's songs because of my love to Soul Coughing and their member Yuval (who playing in UV Ray). So there's a lot of music not discovered yet. This is GREAT one!!! Thanks for uploading!

@fprule1 What I meant by saying 'you can't compare them' was that you can't say that one is better than the other. I don't understand why you felt it necessary to argue with a comment that was made over 2 years ago.
You can't really compare the two versions in my opinion. They're both meant to be very different musical experiences.
I think the original Castanets version is meant to be undoubtedly simple, yet elegantly beautiful, with more of a down-to-earth tone.
Sufjan's version is much more complex, with layers upon layers of instrumentation and vocals- undoubtedly just as beautiful, yet uniquely so. Both versions are emotionally overwhelming in the best way possible, but in different ways.
Ya know? Ha.
