Nectar has two modes of operation: Mixing and Tracking.
In Mixing mode, some modules introduce latency so that the algorithms can look ahead to incoming samples in order to raise their processing quality. In Tracking mode, Nectar keeps latency to a minimum by eliminating these look-ahead functions. Tracking mode also lowers overall CPU usage.
Use Mixing mode while mixing when latency can be compensated for, and tracking mode while recording or other times when you need lower latency and CPU usage. Check your host's documentation for more information about latency compensation.

@vStylerJohnG It was indeed disappointing that they would choose to spend resources on something so pointless, and with such an ignorant name. To think they still hold on to it at this time is puzzling.
With that in mind, their other plugins are legends that will stay on the market for a long time to come. Ozone is total ear-candy!

Couple of small points: if you increase your samplerate, latency goes down. And if you increase your buffer size, latency goes up.
Nice looking plug though.
