Escalon Cougars Football 2011

September 16, 2011 No. 1 small school in the state and defending state champion Escalon put everything on the line against No. 3 large school Patterson. Both teams are undefeated going to week 4. Escalon suffer the only lost in 2010 15-22 to Patterson and went on to win small school state champion. Escalon return the favor in a defensive battle with a 14-7 over Patterson. Escalon score two touch downs in the 3rd quarter when the Tigers Pio Vatuvei and Frankie Sanchez got hurt. Patterson score touch down late in the 4th quarter and than have a chance to tie the game when Lawson return the punt to the Escalon 15 with less than 1 minute left but Patterson was called for illegal blockingh and put the ball at their own 15. Patterson have 4 downs but no time out.

Ya my brother and I even said it was a slugfest going on down there but all in all like coach mark said iron only sharpens iron and my brother shouldn't have played hurt that week he got hurt the week before had light practices but was like 60% imagine if he was 100% better game if you ask me
