Why do people keep saying Eminem is better because he sells more albums or shows up on more MTV videos? That's some of the most stupid shit I've ever heard. Have you seen the crap they show on MTV? Or the crap that sells? Millions of fans are complete idiots with no taste... they just like what people play for them and go out and buy it without thinking about it. record sales mean nothing, couple of examples

1. Is Will Smith better than Commen? No, yet he sold moe

2. Were the Fat Boys better than Tribe called Quest? No, yet they sold more

5. Is Vanilla Ice better than 3rd base? No, yet his 1 album sold more than all 3rd base albums combined

5. Is hammer better than Redman? No, yet his most popular album sold 3 times as many as all Reds albums combined.

When this guy has the type of unique cultural impact someone of the stature of Eminem has had, you can try to make this argument. Until then, Eminem will bury him. Take shots at Eminem, get buried. I love people who support underground music, but try to dismiss album sales. Album sales DO matter because at the end of the day, Sales = Success. And Success = Impact. Impact = Status. This is why Eminem is heralded as one of the GOAT, besides his immeasurable talent.
