I thought it was the least creative, deep or thought provoking of Chris Nolan's films, quite boring in parts, there was no mystery and no plot twist; as I'm accustomed to with his films, and ultimately it felt as... there wasn't much of a purpose for getting made. It wasn't that epic really; it was just about a small job, in which nothing really hinged upon other than the one man's freedom, and also didn't have many metaphors. Nor was there an awesome moral or inspiration in the end.

i disagree with you guys i felt so much for fisher AKA the mark that end scene when the dream was collipsing was so full of emotion just in his face when he sees the windmill. i also felt emotion for leo as well not as much as fishers though the wholepoint of the movie is for he to get to the place that he can let her go. the whole movie is a giant metaphor for that. over all this was the 2nd best movie of the year after the kings speech and one i like to watch over and over again
