Rich Webb's new German single Light
Take a rocking band of six, Rich Webb's new single Light and one of Fitzroy, Melbourne's most famous rock and roll haunts The Rob Roy. Pick a steaming Sunday in March 2008, bring in top film makers Tom Harris, Justin Gibson, Shyam Edirweera and Jason O'Toole. Add lights, a camera and ... action!
The new video from Australian singer songwriter Rich Webb was shot in searing heat in Melbourne on Sunday March 9 and features a cracking band of Charlie Wilde on lead guitar, Loretta Wilde on double bass, Jake Cutajar on drums and the legendary barbershop duet Jim and Merv on BVs.
The video storyline is simple. Light is all about doing what you want to do and not worrying too much about why things can't work - because if you just do it, it often all falls into place anyway.
The clip starts with Rich playing the song solo with a crappy guitar in an empty derelict room (The Rob Roy is currently undergoing renovation, so this bit was easy ... the guitar,
well they don't make Barclays anymore!).
But gradually as he plays, all the things he is thinking about come together - a crew enters the building and builds a stage around him, a band turns up, a crowd and by the end, it's a big rock and roll gig with one cooking band pumping it out.

Love this Rich. Remember this as a demo the song not the video!
