This video shows my little boy Charlie from age 1 through to the present day (2 yrs 8 months).
The song 'Don't stop me now' was choosen because it has recently become an obsession for Charlie (he loves music).
He loves the song and wants it to be repeated constantly, he spins excessively to it!
It also describes his personality as he is always on the move and constantly has his own agenda!
The whole world is fascinating to him, he explores everything!
He is so full of life.
When he was first diagnosed we were initially very upset and wondered what it would mean for the future.
Obviously everyone deals with it differently but we love Charlie for who he is.
His Autism is part of who he is, he would be a totally different child without it.
He is not without his challenges.
His obsessions rule his thoughts alot, but every child can have their difficulties its just that his are different.
He brings alot of happiness to our lives.
There is not a day that goes by that he doesn't make us laugh.
Yes he is different but being different isn't always a bad thing.
He takes alot of pleasure in the little things that most of us never notice or appreciate.
He is truly inspiring.

  • what type does he have ?

  • @nevershoutkatie123 When he was diagnosed the consultant just said severe Autism. However as time as passed we now know that it is such a broad spectrum that you just have to take everyday at a time.Anything is possible he has come such a long way since his diagnosis. He is still very different to other children his age but he is a real character. He doesnt stop talking now and i remember thinking he would never call me mum.It is a very unpredictable journey, but fascinating too.

  • 2:31 had really good music for the video. This is sooooo adorable, even my little brother liked it :)

  • Thanks for sharing this lovely video.

You have a gorgeous little boy.

My son is 4 and has mild autism, he walks on his toes sometimes and likes to walk in circles too, amongst others things.

    Best wishes.

  • Thankyou for your lovely comment. Its funny how alot of children with Autism share that trait of spinning and toe walking.Best wishes to you too:)

  • You have a beautiful child. Why embrace his disorder in this way? Does this help you deal with some kind of repressed reluctance? This video isn't for your son.. He certainly isn't on youtube watching this...think about how he'll feel one day knowing his mom used to post videos on the internet saying, look at my autistic son...

You dont need to make youtube videos for him...just raise him right.please.

He should be Your Beautiful, BABY boy...and thats it....don't limit him by labeling him.

  • hahaha that is just sooo cute how he walks on his toes!!! you are very lucky to have him, he is soo cheerful!
