Great technology. Unfortunately it is like the 3D tvs (that work), you need the eyeglasses. But who knows.. maybe in some years there will be augmented reality contact lens :)

People are too stupid to understand what's actually going on here... the iphone is used as a fiducial mark, you could use a piece of paper instead. The advantage I can see from an iphone is a better contrast, which makes it a little bit easier for the algorithm to detect the mark (which is a prerequisite for drawing the object on the scene). If you still don't get it, google "Augmented Reality". Nice video BTW.

it is not so hard to do there are a lot of aumented reality aplications like
AR defender so if it was an another iphone with an AR app, that would do the trick.
that image you see in the iphone at the begining its actually the tag for the image to apear, but it wasnt the right size so he had to zoom out, easy ¿isnt it?
