WSOR 1503 leads a train in devils lake, well the story begins here, i went up north to the chippawa flowage for the week of 4 of july and then on the way back down i went with a friend of mine camping at devils lake. Instantly when i got out of the truck a horn, a RS3L, 4008 i ran down as fast as i could and yet i just missed it, a whole 3 or 4 days this continued. When the day we where going to head back i woke up early and could not fall back asleep when in the camper i heard a distant horn, i sat up and looked at my friend, right away we jumped out of bed and ran all the way down to the road, did not have time to change or any thing. The horn was still far away so we decided to try for the wig wags so we ran to the next crossing. Early in the morning two people in pajamas, bare foot, no glasses whaiting for the train, but it was worth it...Enjoy!

  • That is a Nathan KL3A on the lead locomotive

  • @wsor95 That's a bummer, I subbed

  • Great catch, and great shots of the wigwags. Since I don't wear pajamas, I would have been out there in my Fruit of the Looms!

It appears that the wigwags power down before the last car clears the road, and continue swinging just from the momentum from when they were powered up.

  • Hey you found my railfaning spot. I come out hear on Memorial day, and Labor day weekend camping. i got shots of one train at midnight.
