@chielmndz No. @1:36 jacob explains the cork is the Island. The significance of the man in black shattering the bottle in the end is forshadowing Jacob's death at the hands of Ben through the man in black's manipulation.

Anyone else get the impression that at this point in time Jacob had gone a bit mad? His personality changes a lot since the events that take place in "Across the sea" compared to in Richard's flashback. You could criticize Jacob for gambling with people's lives and his "means to and end" philosophy, but given his situation it's understandable.
