@cvsnoster It's a slang term for expensive shoes. The song is referring to a kid who feels isolated and left out by those preppy kids who wear clothing that is in style. So he eventually ends up commiting a school shooting. Pumped up kicks refers to shoes like Nike, Converse, DC, etc. Hence the lyrics "Better run, better run, faster than my bullet." It is a reference to how kids care more about clothing and fitting in than they do about their peers. Quite sad and pathetic.
