@RuneEX in these days, it is typically common to use anime in reference to cartoons drawn in a manga style.

Look. I dont like the dub either but the fact is, its a cartoon. All that anime means is that its a cartoon animation from Japan. Animation=Anime.
As for Disney. I love Disney. Not the Disney Channel. Just Disney. They did a good job on most Ghibli films. The only ones I dont like are Ponyo and Totoro. [I love the fox version.] Dont rank on Disney.

*cough* Techincally cartoons and anime are the same excat thing. Anime is just a shorter version of Animation that caught on in Japan.
And for the Disney haters that love anime, one of the First influenical animes (Might Atom, or as he's known here, was Astro Boy) were drawn to mimic Disney's style of animating. Without that you wouldn't have your Ponyo and your Tengen toppa gurren lagann!

stupid america for stealing spirited away and ponyo from us! they've been calling it cartoon instead of anime! T_T so sad
