2007 Acura TSX DIY Comptech Airbox

Basically achieves the same results of a $150 Comptech air intake for the cost of a $39 K&N filter and about 30 minutes time. In the end the intake setup is identical, as the Comptech intake only includes a different airbox top (that says their name on it), a Comptech filter (K&N is just as good), and a J shaped pipe to replace the stock resonators, which we can fab up from the stock resonators.

i rigged up a diy cone intake for my csx using the stock air box. and with the extra money i saved..... i bought some weed.

Is there any difference in sound before and after this mod? Can't hear it as YT locked the sound!!

That is an amazingly slow car. Sorry, there was no improvement except for the wallet of the gas station owner.

aye noob question but after u remove the four screws to the stock airbox,
how do you exactly remove it from the intake tube going through the engine?
didnt wnat to force it, cause unsure of my self, let me know thanks,

nice mod, I did the same to my 01 accord but I didn't leave the L shape piece, kept falling out.

nice fab skills man.. i did a custom intake setup on my 87 accord lx-i and i can definately feel the difference... but hey what song is this?

The song is from the original Wipeout game for Sega Saturn. I ripped the tracks from the CD as MP3 files a LONG time ago.

Pretty good but the comptech has a foam filter, an air horn for improved throttle response.

I don't really buy the horn thing... especially on an electronically actuated TB. The foam filter argument I could see, but you can still get those on eBay cheaper than $150... probably cheaper than the K&N I bought at the store.
