sort of a relief. i bought a xbox on craiglist and it did that when it loads the disk and stuff. i can hear over the t.v though.its like its trying to tell me something.

my slim does this.. and so does my orginal xbox

@foelde its not because his drive is open, ive got the same problem, you can hear it over the tv, its so annoying. mine still reads the discs so i could install them to the hard drive and play them off there but its way too much hassle

Alright, here's my adventure.
For a while now, my friend's Xbox 360 was gradually losing it's ability to recognize discs that it had previously loaded successfully. Once it could read no more discs we decided it was time to open it up and try and see if a good cleaning could help. Opened the Xbox> Separately Cleaned all moving parts associated with disc movement (worm, spindle motors) the Xbox would still clunk and not read. We decided on a pot tweak. Works perfectly now.
