Courtroom sketch with Peter Cook & Monty Python (1976)

From 'A Poke in the Eye (With a Sharp Stick)', Amnesty concert in 1976 which was followed subsequently by the various 'Secret Policeman's Ball' fundraisers etc.

With Peter Cook, Michael Palin, Terry Jones, Graham Chapman and John Cleese.

This was taken from 'The Secret Policeman's Private Parts', a rather choppy VHS compilation of sketches from various early Amnesty shows, and, as you can tell, this particular sketch was split into four and scattered throughout the tape.

For some reason, the film has a washed-out look, for which I apologise.

Great sketch, and what a line up. The back room of this Amnesty Show must be the greatest comedy gathering of all time.

A shame this has been edited. The counsell for the prosecution's evidence of why the defendant was wearing special gaitors it priceless.
