ANCHOR:
As we recently reported, Shen Yun Performing Arts is now showing in the Australian capitol of Canberra. After seeing the first show, audiences praised the show and welcomed its different take on Chinese culture.

STORY:
Canberra is a city where national capitol meets exceptional lifestyle. Its a bustling city with a range of shops, and natures own benefits.

Its also a centre for arts and theatre, currently showing the Shen Yun a cultural mix of dance, music and costumes nobodys seen since the time of the great Chinese dynasties.

[Alistair Coe, Member of Legislative Assembly]:
That was the first time that I had seen the event, and Im very very glad I went. It was absolutely fantastic, I thought the color, the energy and the actual dances were just fantastic and Ill be encouraging all my friends to go see it in the next coming nights.

[Helen Musa, Arts & Cultural Journalist]:
The backgrounds have become a lot more sophisticated the digital technology now allows the figures to move. Another thing thats got me quite fascinated is the variety of tone. There has so far been two ethnic dances, which I think is an interesting development, especially I liked seeing the Tibetan one in the last part. Another one I think is the element of comedy, which has been brought in.

[Brendan Smyth, Member of Legislative Assemby]:
I think its quite fascinating to see a different presentation of Chinese history and culture there. China is such a diverse country, it encompasses so many different ethnicities its always good to see them on display and on display so well.

[Cheryl Love, Business Woman]:
Its wonderful, presented beautifully just the color, the design and the presentationthey are to be congratulated it really is wonderful to see it and I hope a lot more Australians see it and appreciate the real depth of the Chinese culture.

The Canberra shows will continue until Tuesday.
