YourMTB.com's Walker Thompson demonstrates how to climb down a rope with a mountain bike bungie-strapped to your back. This was taken on a critical section of The Edge Loop, an IMBA Epic ride near Fruita, Colorado.
2 years later and no comment? what happen, did you break your fag little red coat tongue on those lame Moab trails? where are you now? I gues we were looking so lame you spent a fortune to cross the ocean and break your smack talkin back on our trails. bummer for you you gay goat.
The only problem is the bike gets pretty beat up if you lower it down first. I did this ride alone and lowered the bike first like you said. I ended up bending my front disc and scratching the hell out of my frame. The best way is really the way he's doing it.
You can pull up the rope, tie the bike, lower it then climb down. You don't have to untie the bike till you reach the bottom. You can do this going up to. It's common sense. But the point is mute here, this person is not alone, someone has the camera.
Christ! I've sat through loads of these "extreme" Moab videos. They're all incredibly lame and boring with inane comments like 'burly', 'freakin', 'awesome', 'gnarly'. LAME! LAME!! LAME!!! No wonder there are no decent US downhillers anymore! When the terrain gets slightly bumpy they put their feet down!!! I'm hopefully coming over to Moab next year. This comment relates to this and almost every other 'Rad' video of Yanks looking lame! on bikes.
