I have several acoustics, most of them all-solid wood and a couple of solid-top laminate sides, all very good-sounding guitars. But i think that i would buy this all laminate guitar for looking so beautiful and hope that it will sound as good as it sounds in this video, despite the absence of a solid top at least.

Its seems like all of the guys showing us the guitars us a very simple strum pattern... You would think they would use somthing a little bit more advanced.

Its veneer on all sides. Whats underneath the veneer I dont know. Washburn wrote me: The D46SP models feature a laminated top. While glorious in appearance, it isnt a very useful tone wood in our experience (when used for a solid top)

Spalted maple is actually a wood that is exposed to or infected by fungi. Not the strongest wood in the world but the looks are great.

Many of us acoustic musicians prefer no pickguard. The pickguard, IMHO, turns a very desirable solid wood soundboard into a less desirable laminate product. What you want to do is allow that soundboard to vibrate unimpeded.....no pickguard=better tone!
