This advice is dildos get some finger ease and a regular sift dishcloth, apply the finger ease like it says on the bottle, then for the body get a soft dishcloth and dont put anything on it just kinda buff your guitar. Voila, clean guitar no lighter fluid and all that other crazy shit he was talking about.
Lighter fluid ? Hmmmm I'm not too sure about that advice. It will remove the gunk from a painted guitar but what about axes made from mahogany or swamp ash or Alder. The 30-sheen lacquer coating could be damaged. I wouldn't use a harsh chemical like lighter fluid on a surface that has been coated with lacquer that may be vulnerable.
Just wipe your axe down after playing with special attention to the fret board. There's a multitude of "Lemon based" fret board cleaners on the market.
Use lighter fluid! It's 100% safe! Use it especially on an ELECTRIC guitar, it will NEVER catch fire because it's an ELECTRIC guitar....Even when you smash your guitar on stage don't worry about the occasional smoke, it's just excited! ....o.o
Is it safe to use olive oil to clean the fretboard?
