  • Have been listening endlessly to 'Slabo Day'...and figure that if I listen to it enough, one day I will wake up and play it!!! Is there any instructional video on it? I don't think it is on this Learn to play PG DVD. Too bad, as it is phenomenal. Let me know if anyone knows of this....and yes, to me there is no one like PG. Listen to 'Little Dreamer', and sometimes I swear I hear Hendrix's voice. I bet PG influenced him some....

  • @zippers2 Gregsguitars did a cover of it, if you do a search for Slabo Day Cover you should see it. He also posted a 4 part tab I've been wanting to study from his personal website listed under 'Show More' from his cover. Haven't heard 'Little Dreamer' in a long while, I'll have to purchase it since I don't yet own a copy other than Van Halen's. Thanks for your comments, hope this helps.

  • anyone knows the name of the first song?

  • @noremorse146 Man of the World.

  • Listen to Stan Webb of Chickenshack too far better than Clapton IMHO and rated as one of the 4 best in the UK in the 1960's

  • Thanks GtrTech, I'll look him up, for shure. Don't know about Clapton comment though since we all have different likes & dislikes I try not to compare, In My Humble Opinion Also!

  • @AlanSturgess yeah i' never heard of him , i just stumbled to a video of green manalishi , and i was like amazed and went looking for pete stuff, then i heard 'then play on', man peter kills clapton easily during the 60's

  • Couldn't find it under Gregsguitars....actually I did see the cover but couldn't find the tabs. Now there is nothing on the internet that I can find as far as free tabs. it all costs now. Things are so different these days. Can anyone show me a free tab site where I can learn Slabo Day, or just a good instructional video??? thanks

  • Would love to hear a take on "Love That Burns"...

  • Great stuff, thanks :)

  • @toby099 Mmmm - doesn't explain the sell-out concerts since his return nor the fact that so many guitar legends name him as one of the greatest blues guitarists (and fans bigger than BBK don't come much bigger!). Personally, I'd say that any electric guitarist worth their salt who hasn't heard pf PG hasn't yet looked deeply enough into the history of their instrument. But everyone to their own.

  • @AlanSturgess

No he is. Hardly anyone under the age of about 40 even knows who he is. Everyone knows Clapton but very few know Peter Green. Presumably because of his mental breakdown in the seventies or eighties

  • @noremorse146

    "Man of the World"

  • "A much forgotten and incredible guitar player in his day" ...... MUCH FORGOTTEN???? --- I don't think so.
