@NATIK001 Your could say that it is because the demons have their full strength now, not to mention it is a new time, but regardless yes the new cinematics from the tidbits we have seen are epic for the sake of epic, not like it isn't bad its still fantastic.

marius in my opinion is damn good = ))...i made my barbarian cleave everything in his path but marius just slips past every damn monster ..he even gather khalim's relics stealthed away from the high council and made his way in mephisto's lair...i don't know if that's luck or skill (or maybe the game) but its god damn impressive =)

@FlamingKillamajig We see Marius' side of the tale because through him we see the Prime Evils for what they are to everyone who isn't a great hero like the players character.

These cinematics are there to provide an insight into the Prime Evils and their effect on the world of Sanctuary, not to be "epic".

I think this is something Blizzard forgot as well if you look at the new cinematics, they don't show of the terror of the demons, they are blandly "epic" in a non epic way.

@2:04: Wow diablo's going through demon puberty.  Jeez just look at those zits pop. Wow it didn't take him long to become a man demon. Sheesh demon puberty is fast but it hits you like a ton of bricks.
