  • It's funny like all the Anglos are pooh-poohing Napoleon simply because he was French. The man was obviously a military and intellectual giant, even if he was short in stature.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Napoleon was actually average stature for men of his time. People used to be alot shorter because they didn't have near the nutrition that we do now.

  • At 2:07 Napoleon could've won a pawn with 1.Qh5, Qe7 2. Bxf7+, Qxf7 3.Qxc5

  • @renumeratedfrog Intellectual giant? He invaded Russia, that has to have been the dumbest thing that anyone has ever done.

  • Apparently, Napoleon was about 5'7". Slightly taller than the average Frenchman of the time, slightly shorter than the average of his peers. He was painted by many of the powers that be as the devil incarnate after his death. Possibly the slight with regards to his height was meant to aid this propaganda.

"History is a set of lies people have agreed upon." Napoleon

  • @Vutra666 ,If Rxg8, I think White can play Qb3 threatening that rook and also Bb2 to trap the queen.Black can play Rf8, but after Rxf8 Bxf8 Qf7 it should be winning for white.

  • @Vutra666 but then white has checkmate in 2 moves after he takes the rook with his queen

  • after B:g8 is easly winning for black, just R:g8 and white has no atack

  • great game, no wonder y some people wonder if it was played by him. it wasnt that difficult but pretty and not so easy to see.

  • It's Napoleon, not Napolean. Nice video.

  • @GeneralMillss

Yep. Nelson, however, was quite short.
