This is one of two railroad crossings in Secaucus. This crossing is very simple, having only two crossbucks. This is actually one of only a few gateless crossings on any NJT Line.

  • This crossing was built in 2003 on the new Bergen Line connector to allow acess for the Upper Hack bridge tender and utility workers to a power station.

  • This is one of those crossings you would normally find on the NYS&W and M&E, except on the NYS&W, there would be a stop sign beneath the crossbucks.

  • @johnyboy087 Well, how about that?:)

  • well if u follow the transit main passed the Valley Brook crossing, the is a switch, it belongs to NS, there is an abandoned track that comes off it and disapears into bushes. That used to be another connection for that line.

  • @johnyboy087 Sucks about the bike. I never even knew there were any abandoned tracks out there in Lyndhurst.

  • the last one was a 1970's racing GT rebuilt into a 2007 BMX bike. it went from chrome to black and white. God i miss that thing. got stolen the night before i started 7th grade. man i was pissed. anyways in Lyndhurst on the Main line there is an old Conrail spur. If u follow Valley Brook Ave. u will see it. the rails are still in the street and the tracks have been somewhat burried in dirt. u can still see an old switch in it. it s not even overgrown with weeds and trees and shit!! i got pics

  • @johnyboy087 What a coincidince. My favorite bike was also stolen, and when I was about five miles away from home.;(

  • 3 of mine got stolen :(

  • @johnyboy087 I see. At least you have a bike. I haven't had a bike for several years.

  • yes, but my bike needs an overhaul, im afraid to ride fast anymore because of bad incidents in the past...
