Scooter is a stray who was hit by a car. His rear legs aren't working but he has a little sensation back there. Evenso, we needed a way for him to be able to get around on his own. I found the design for this "swivel box" online. It works!! He took to it right away. Read more about him here http://www.hartsrunvet.com/Scooter.html. HE HAS A HOME NOW, by the way! He lives with a veterinarian!

  • THank u for your idea.I just inherited a stray cat from one of my home rentals. He was dragging his one hind leg plus other is not working well.Took to the vet and he said couldn't be operated on so he suggested keeping in cage for 2 months so it has chance to heal (no guarantee)

.He is not happy in there at all and my question is do u think this may work being he can still walk (athough badly) & keep him from moving back legs so they can heal possible ? I just want to give him some freedom !

  • Wow. Being in a cage for 2m sounds awful! I'm not a vet but I work for one and I suggest you get a second opinion. The cage thing sounds harsh/cruel especially if there isn't a guarantee that after 2m he wouldn't be better. Scooter figured out on his own what he could/couldn't do with his legs and built up his muscles so that his movement, even without the scooter, is actually pretty good. So nice of you to take the little one in, though!!! Good luck!

  • how does he poo n urinate?does he do it in that "scooter"?just out of curiosity..

    but he's so cute..i would've adopted him..but he's so far away...

  • Scooter wears a baby diaper with a hole cut out for his tail. It works perfectly :)

  • thank you for the idea my cat has just had an accident and probably her left hind leg is broken and i been looking for a good design to help him out so he don't hurt his leg even more

  • .. and I should mention this video is of the first time Scooter used the contraption. He took to it right away. No learning curve!

  • That is a wonderful design. Love to you and Scooter.

  • So why did you change from your designed box on wheels to the cart on wheels? Which do you think Scooter prefer, except of course for his own rear leg, had he the chance to still have them to walk?

  • i like how he bangs into things with it god bless america

  • What a sweet cat. How good of you to take him in and help him out!

  • IS NICE TO SEE CREATIVE PEOPLE
