It's alright. It'll actually help your singing if you open your mouth a little wider, and when singing longer lyrics'/notes, to keep you lips from closing as that cuts off the sound and makes it sound like the end of the word is cut rather, even if you finished the word. It'll sound smoother, and that doesn't mean it has to lose the style you sing in either, it can sound just as rough and as snappy (as in how the word pops out) as you want it to.
