@jdlhnew Yes, they are chem professors, not climatologists. Climate science is not their area of expertise. I do physics and this means that I take what chemists say about chemistry and what climatologists say about climate seriously. My knowledge of physics does not qualify me to pass judgement on climatology.

Science illiteracy is embarrassing in the US, but any time climate science or evolution come up, the whole country becomes full of experts with great opinions.
