Best Viewed Full Screen This is a demonstration of the diversity property of the Flex 5000 transceiver. The radio has both receivers and uses 2 resonant verticals on 160M separated by about 3/8 wavelength. The QSO is between a station in Ontario and a station if Florida. Demonstrated is the noise canceling ability and improved signal to noise radio obtainable using the diversity plus beam steering feature of the Flex 5000. Beam steering is accomplished by changing the phase and gain of one antenna relative to the other using the phase gain pad (bulls eye). This demonstrates the ability of the Flex 5000 to dramatically improve a signals intelligibility in the face of a significant noise problem.
Mmmm well the focus looks pretty good to me.

The demonstration is good but the audio is bloomy and glitchy, even your voiceovers. Not sure if it was the screen recording source or the YouTube conversion process. I'd like to hear a clean version of this because I couldn't really trust what I was hearing. 73

Thanks for this amazing demonstration.
I like to set my panadaptor so the noise level is near the bottom and S9 is near the top. This setting gives me a magnified view of the weak signal activity.
