Cover of Thirty Seconds to Mars' song "The Kill." This is a cover of the live version that was recorded on Carson Daly in early 2006 (link below). Feel free to leave comments.

I use a Gibson Les Paul Studio with a Marshall MG30DFX amp, VOX channel switch pedal and Boss DD-6 Digital Delay stompbox. See settings below...

Guitar Settings:
Pickup - Neck
Volume - 10
Tone - 10

Amp Settings:
Gain - 7
Bass - 0
Contour - 5
Treble - 10

Stompbox Settings:
Effect Level - 7
Feedback - 3.5
Delay Time - 4.5
Mode - 800 ms

I figured most of this out by ear so I don't have tabs. Some good ones are available at www.ultimate-guitar.com.

maybe you should give in some bass...

dist without bass sounds like crap

treble 10 bass 0 is the settings that i would just use to immitate gunshots!

PS: but you got a nice Delay in your clean parts

It's alright. The distortion on my amp is pretty crappy to be honest. I'd buy a pedal for it but I'm kinda broke right now ;) Anyway, the clean parts are what I was focused on anyway. The intro and verse have always been my favorite parts.
