  • Thank you from iran arkadash for posting this beatiful song.

  • I think a more accurate translation would be:

I sprinkled water in the alley

So that when my beloved comes, no dust would be stirred.

May she come and may she leave in such a way

That there would be no words (or argument) between us.

I lit the fire in the Samovar

I threw sugar cubes in the teacup.

My beloved went away and I'm remained alone,

    How dear is my darling

    How previous is my beloved.

  • Kuchelere su sepmishem,

    Yar gelende toz olmasin,

    Ele gelsin ele getsin,

    Aramizda soz olmasin,

    Samavara od salmisham,

    Istekene qend salmisham,

    Yarim gedib, tek qalmisham,

    Ne shirindir, yarin cani

  • yashasin

  • I've wetted the street's floors

Sweetheart shouldn't get dirt whilst she came

(It's enough that)She could go through as she come

And let there no (need of) talking among us.

    I've burned the samovar kettle

And put some sugar chips to my mouth

My darling had gone away I become alone..

How beautiful that is my darling

How precious that is my darling

  • I don't speak Azerbaijani but want to know the translation too. I would appriciate it if you wrote the translation. thanks.

  • Where are you originally from?

I will need your email address so I can email you the translation.

It is one of THE MOST famous and favorite folk songs in Azerbaijan. I can easily say that probably every one who speaks Azerbaijani knows this song

  • piyaleler ıraftadır

    her biri bir taraftadır

görmemişem bir haftadır (2-yarim gidip bir haftadır)

ne ezizdir yarim canım (2-ne şirindir yarim canım)

  • can anyone translate this in English?i love this song so much.

  • Cavit Tebrizli guzel okuyor amma yine de RESHID BEHBUTOV Kraldir!.Kral.!
