Most likely it's an inflammation of some sort. Lower back muscle pain is caused from long duration of standing and sitting along with inadequate rest. I recommend do exercise / stretches that would spare your lower back muscles, usually QL, Erector Spinae and your Lats muscles. It may also be your L4/L5 intervetebral Discs. if it's a long term pain, go get an Xray!

It is important information.
It is not too basic.
I am athletic and was a varsity field hockey player. I understand the language. It is good to be thoroughly reminded of Why.

could be your sciatic nerve. I have the same issue. If I take aleve or something I will be almost 100 percent fine, or if I run it loosens me up a lot. It it goes down your leg a bit, then it could def be the sciatic nerve geting pinched.
