Indonesia may be hosting the world's largest-ever conference on climate change, but it has also being called the world's third largest emitter of greenhouse gases. The main culprit is deforestation, especially the clearing and burning of its peatlands.

Step Vaessen reports on how the country is attempting to repair the damage.

  • who get blamed is indonesian government

remember, when u stop buying the cutting end too.

  • corruption is corruption. makes no difference to place one country or another on a scale... there's plenty of blame to go around in the world

  • not as corrupt and racist as malaysian,,, ;)

  • Because if by that time if we are lucky, the world would reduce the need and incentive for the country to want to cut down a forest again, but that's only if the global international community can do something about it.

  • What's the point of planting it??? when the corrupt government will just do the same deforestation the moment the trees are big enough for selling.

  • how sad
