I've been playing the trumpet very well at let's just say a "higher level" than most for over 50 years. I've heard em all and Allen for my money is about a good as you'll ever hear in this life. Oh, yes, he's not a stuck up snob or an I'm all that kind of guy - and I know because I'm his friend.

When I went to Interlochen he was one of the instructors for the trumpet ensemble, along with Vince DiMartino, Mike Davison, and John Aley...it was amazing.

I met him once; amazing, laid back guy. He's as wonderful a person as he is a musician, which is rare. But heck, what does he have to prove? lol

i know!! he was preforming with my friends at the ontario youth band or sumthing and he had some free time so he came over to talk to us and chill for a bit and went out to dinner with my teachers!
