People are exuberant in Baghdad just hours before the US army formally hands back control of Iraq's security to its own forces. It's the beginning of the end for the occupation.
@AmericanBadass44 Christians and Muslims were neighbours and there was no differences between them, people were able to walk in the streets without being in fear of getting killed because they are either sunni, shia, muslim or christian. What have you come to do "americanbadass" stole our oil claimed that there was WOMD when there was none, and left a country in chaos and left. What did you do for us, killed our children and tore down a country that had a history and a beautiful culture.Typical!
We can completely agree on that for sure. It seems every politician and every president tip-toes around every single issue too just to stay in power and that is all they care about. I really detest our politicians.
I honestly don't believe the U.S government when they say they are against dictatorships since thats all we did to South America. We supported dictatorships in South America and in Cuba. Nobody trusts us because of our government's shady ways in dealing with the world. That horrible man you call Saddam is once a man we supported. Don't you see how stupid we look?
The U.S reasons for going to war these days are so fake. This isn't WW2 anymore but it seems we don't understand that.
No, I'm saying they found some Iraqis that felt that way & that's what they reported. Just as I'm sure the right did the same thing. What I'm going by are the Iraqis we have working with us. Not any biased media or politician out to show their side is right and the other is wrong. As for not wanting us there, that is just as debatable depending on who you talk to. Yeah, I'd be ticked off to see people dragged off and questioned too but don't you think they felt that way before with Saddam's men?
So you admit you don't speak for the entire Muslim community. And a lot love us too, btw. As for the misery part, that's a crock. Unless it's only okay if it is other Muslims causing the misery. Dude, you don't represent your religion very well for such a peaceful, loving religion. I don't get it, your profile seems to show you hope for good relations with the U.S. but you talk now like all you want is war. Is that why you changed this so quickly to be about the Muslim religion?
So you're saying liberals gave Iraqis a script to read off saying they're happy they will no longer see Americans taking fellow Iraqis up the street and questioning them in firm tones? I'd be pissed off if some other country started rolling tanks and troops on my streets without me even wanting them to be in there in the first place.
Congratulation U.S you liberate Iraq from yourself.
