I just don't understand why it's not legalized. There's the "gateway drug" propaganda politicians try to push but there's nothing in marijuana that makes you try other drugs. I could argue just as easily that someone who tries marijuana might then decide to try even harder drugs when they find out marijuana really isn't that bad at all.

I think it's funny how Obama himself stated it's not his "plan" to legalize marijuana, and yet his own surgeon general feels the opposite way. If Prop19 doesn't get through the rest of the narrow minded, power-hungry politicians in office, I feel our country is at risk and our freedom is compromised. The people against legalization are as irrational as it gets....it's pretty sad.

During prohibition Alcohol was a gateway drug, commonly being served places that sold heroine and cocaine to people who would otherwise only be imbibing alcohol. If marijuana was legalized the only way it would be a gateway drug is if when you bought your weed at a 7-11 they tried to sell you some roxies or heroine.

By falsely classifying Marijuana as a "DRUG" it gives kids a false sense that crack & heroin are just as mild. No effen way. Thats like telling children their water pistol is a REAL GUN. I suspect this mis-classification is a deliberate attempt to control the population, you prefer we CULL ourselves like moths to the flames??

I tried every thing to quit crack after 2 years of hell. I went to rehab for 3 mos and halfway house for another 2 mos and went right back to crack. No prozak, No meetings, No Church, No rehab or no family member could get me to quit the junk UNTIL an 80+ year old AA member suggested Marijuana maintainence program to quit and THANK GOD IT WORKED! I have only smoked after dinner a 1/2 joint for 5 years now and keeps me straight and productive and think things trough. Thank You God 4 a Miracle !
