God Bless Latvia is one of the most beautifully harmonic pieces of music I have ever heard in my life. The chord structure alone is what makes this piece so wonderful to listen to. The other nice thing about your national anthem is that 50k+ people can sing this and bring out the true harmonic beauty that this song has to offer and in key as well. Thank you.

@JayMastaB My intention was just calling the attention to the possible problems that nationalism can bring. Any event that leads to extreme nationalism, like the cult of music, can repeat past mistakes, remembering the Nazi anthems. This is my world. What about yours?

@JuhaStump Your comment started and ended so well, but with an epic fail in the middle. The fact that the word God is in the lyrics has no impact on how the anthem sounds. Furthermore, I believe you had no idea that the word 'Dievs' means 'God', did it immediately become more beautiful to you? I wish Latvia a happy birthday with as little medieval superstition sprinkled in as possible!

Vai Latvju zhiidiem ir vieta Latvijaa, jeb tikai Rumbulu in Bikernieku kapiem, kaa tas bija mana teevaa laikiem, nedz jau tiem bagaatiem ebrejam kuri is Latvijaa pashlaik...
