@089ji: It's used in many ways, such as to solve quadratic equations and also for putting quadratic functions (graphing parabolas, ellipses, hyperbolas, etc.) in standard form. You can see how we use the quadratic formula shown at the beginning of the video. I have other videos showing how to solve equations by completing the square. My videos are organized by topic on the website showing in beginning of video or on my youtube site.
