#2 @fountainers It's name is Plaid FolkArt Fabric (and the one she draws with, is .called FolkArt HD - High Def., "3D") Checked now, Plaid have 6 different types of such craft paints. See plaidonline for more info. I'm sure you could use a fluid/light body artist's acrylic too (or another craft acrylic), but you then have to add Fabric Medium (makes the paint remain soft after drying!). For the bottle painting, try heavy body acrylics with fabric medium in a gutta/paint bottle.

I would not try that. The problem is that this paint requires heat setting, and this requires a certain amount of heat for a few minutes. Most swim suit fabrics can't be ironed or can only be ironed on the lowest setting which I think isn't hot enough to heat set it properly. You can try Duncan Polymark or Scribbles 3D Fabric Paints, these don't require heat setting - but mail the makers to ask about the fabric and the 4-way stretch it has, if that may be affected by painting.

Yes, it is an acrylic paint, but it is the Plaid FolkArtbrand paint meant for Donna D.'s One Stroke technique. In this case it is the fabric paint. They have several different types. These craft paints seems much more fluid than most acrylic fine art paints. Using the techn. with heavy body paint seems impossible (at least I couldn't, but when I diluted it, it went better). I don't do this type of painting though, but find the technique interesting, so I'd like to try it out.

it is permanent. softness depends on how much you put on. the way donna does it it is stiff.
