  • my sister is gay. election day was so bittersweet for me. obama is our president and i'm overjoyed but then i'm devastated when i see my sister weeping when yes on prop 8 happened. it's about time this country stepped up and actually practiced what it preached. EQUALITY FOR ALL. america needs to reclaim it's secular roots.

  • Have you ever experienced their situation?Spending a day doing what the poor in this country do to survive doesn't count. Spend a couple years, then you might empathize and retract that comment.

  • welfare is a trap. my aunt worked in a welfare office.

  • Thats the problem with all these liberal left wing activist, trying to redefine marriage; CA has spoken. Get over it. I can't believe during the elections these same liberal activist convinced Californians to give rights to chickens. I also feel sorry for all the teachers who were for prop 8, but had their union dues go to support no on 8. $1 million down the toilet. Now teachers are being laid off. Where is the UTA now?

  • The people shouldn't forcibly take away rights of anyone in the united states just by putting it the constitution

  • marriage is not based on family. marriage means different things depending specifically on the two people getting married. for some it's family, for some its financial, for some its symbolic, etc.

but congrats for sheltering your kids, i'm sure it would be difficult for you to explain that different types of people exist.

  • Gay's FTW!

  • marriage is based on family...how can you have a family with man on man or girl on girl action? you cant.

i agree...they should get the fulfillment within themselves of some sort of "being together" acknowledged by the state...but not "married"...putting man/man or woman/woman destroys the traditional values of marriage....thank godness i live in a state that doesnt acknowledge it, i dont want to have to explain to my kids how a man and a man now have a daughter in his 3rd grade class.

  • you want "equality"...tell the low life slackers who collect food stamps, welfare, govt aide, etc....to get off their lazy asses and work to support themselves and family instead of me and others having to work to support these bums. Also, look at the tax code. I pay over 40% to gov't in SS tax, medicaide tax, income tax, property tax and whatever other taxes Obama and his liberals can think of. people who earn less pay less percentage in taxes...where is the "equality"?

  • i hope the lawsuit is put to the best ending, meaning both sides are satisfied of what they get.
