Well, I've posted this to some Occupy groups on Facebook and to the World Homeless Action Day group there, too. IT seems to be cheering people up! I remembered it from decades ago. Don't know why I didn't think to turn OWS onto it before today... thanks. cute edit

Malvina Reynolds, a delightfully sweet little old lady with a deep core and an edge. She wrote "Magic Penny" and "Turn Around!" But then she also wrote "The Bloody Clean" and "Battle of Maxton Field!" That's what I love about her, the whole Malvina. (And, of course, in other versions, the little mouse "mucked." On that point, consider her socio-political context: of "The Bloody Clean," [search lyrics] for example.)
